“Conscii!” - Concert Band
“Conscii!” (be aware!) was commissioned by Aalesunds Ungdomsmusikkorps (Norway) as their overture at the 2019 Norwegian Wind Band Championships. The title of this composition refers to the many meter changes and rhythmical challenges which occur throughout the entire piece.
The clarinet solo between figure E and F is supposed to be played in a freely yet strictly rhythmical manner. Preferably in front of the stage.
Optional parts for cello, double bass and harp are provided.
